Year 11 Physics – Distance, speed and acceleration, Newton’s Laws, Work & Energy, Space, Radiation, Half-life
Good practical skills, team work, independent thinking and ICT are some of the skills you will need to develop.
Laboratory technician, medical physicist, microbiologist, pharmacist, ecologist, forensic scientist, veterinarian, zoologist, oceanographer, biochemist, chemical engineer, chemist, psychologist, marine biologist, general practitioner, surgeon, nurse and many more… Scientific knowledge is useful to some extent in all jobs and careers.
Pupils will sit six written exams; three each in Year 10 and Year 11. These exams account for 90% of the final grade. Pupils will also complete a Practical Assessment in the Spring term of Year 11. This accounts for the remaining 10% of the final grade.
