Christ the Word Catholic School offers careers information, advice and guidance. This means that learners are supported to make important decisions and choices.
Support for students includes

- University visits and Aim Higher Events;
- Careers Fair;
- Progress Evenings,
- Option evenings;
- Group work sessions;
- Mock Interview Evenings for Year 11 learners with local businesses.

The school works with Careers Wales to provide information on courses and qualifications, employment opportunities, apprenticeships and training.
A comprehensive search facility helps learners to find information on a huge range of careers, and what qualifications needed to get into those careers.
