We are committed to provide every learner with a great education. Learners play an important role in helping us to do this by providing helpful and honest feedback. We listen to our learners and work with them to continually improve.
There are many roles to suit different interests, including subject and year group representatives, School Council members and representatives on the Governing Body.
All learners have an opportunity to become a Leading Learner in an area or subject that engages, enthuses and interests them, for example they could become a Leading Learner in Drama, Maths or Foundation Phase.
Our School Council is made up of learners to express their opinions and raise issues with the staff and governors in the school. The School Council is involved in improving the school and their representatives attend governing body meetings and contribute to staff appointments.
Article 12 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) entitles young people to have a say in things which affect them.

Christ the Word Catholic School will build on the ethos, success and achievements at the core of education provision across the Diocese. It will be a strong and nurturing learning community.
This fantastic new school will help us achieve our goal of providing modern facilities across Denbighshire that further enhance pupils’ learning.
I am delighted that the partnership of Welsh Government, Denbighshire County Council and the Catholic Church will deliver a brand new school to serve the families of Rhyl and the surrounding parishes.
