Year 11

Year 11 have 2 tutor groups and all learners will continue to study towards their GCSE External Examinations. All learners will be taught in sets for English, Mathematics and Science. The start of the day for this year group is 8.45am and ends at 2.55pm.

Learners will have regular assessments and mock exams to ensure they are on track to achieve their full potential.

  • Spend time reading with your child
  • Talk together about what they are doing in school
  • Tell your child how proud you are when they do well.
  • Encourage them to join after-school clubs or activities
  • Ask them to help you with things they are good at.
  • Your child’s teacher will provide you with updates on progress and invite you to the Progress Evenings through the year. Your child will receive a written report once a year. ​Reports page
  • Please contact the school if you have any concerns about your child and we will meet you to talk about any next steps to provide support and encouragement.
  • Make sure your contact details are up to date, including your telephone and e mail address if you have one.
  • Look out for text messages and e mails from school.
  • Check that your child gives you any letters that are sent home.
  • Check the school website.
  • Try to come along to events at school.
  • If you are worried about anything, go and talk to a teacher. They will want to help.
