Year 10

Year 10 have 3 tutor groups and all learners will study towards GCSE External Examinations. All learners will be taught in sets for English, Mathematics and Science. Learners are taught in smaller groups to maximise their potential in this important Key Stage. The start of the day for this year group is 8.45am and ends at 2.55pm.

  • Spend time reading with your child
  • Talk together about what they are doing in school
  • Tell your child how proud you are when they do well.
  • Encourage them to join after-school clubs or activities
  • Ask them to help you with things they are good at.
  • Your child’s teacher will provide you with updates on progress and invite you to the Progress Evenings through the year. Your child will receive a written report once a year. ​Reports page

  • Make sure your contact details are up to date, including your telephone and e mail address if you have one.
  • Look out for text messages and e mails from school.
  • Check that your child gives you any letters that are sent home.

  • Try to come along to events at school.
  • If you are worried about anything, go and talk to a teacher. They will want to help.
